Made of grit and gravel, “stone carpets” may not be as fluffy as shag pile carpets. They are, however, much more robust and easy to care for – and far more versatile.
Stone carpet is a flooring system made from small stones or natural rocks that are mixed with a resin or chemical binder, then compacted onto the floor. Basically, they mix small smooth gravel with epoxy then spread it out over the surface of a patio, walkway, or even inside a room. Once it’s dried it makes a nice looking smooth, non-slippery waterproof surface.
