Flooret if filling the online buying niche’ for home improvement products – since consumers are now comfortable buying online, Flooret sells direct from the factory to save you money.

In February 2023 Google Trends reported Flooret as one of the most searched for flooring products in the world. So, obviously the word is spreading.

Flooret Product Line

Flooret offers Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring, and Engineered Wood flooring. When you visit the site you’ll see the option to view “Modin LVP” their line of luxury vinyl flooring, and “Silvan Hardwood” Flooret’s engineered wood flooring. Both come in different style options.

Modin LVP flooring has different style options, and each style has model options which is basically how they are manufactured (more on that below). Model options are Signature, Craftsman, and Base models. Not all model options are available for each style.

On the website there are 22 unique styles of Modin LVP available to choose from. Each style of Flooret LVP products has a wood-look and without close inspection will pass for solid hardwood flooring.

There are 6 different styles of Silvan Engineered Hardwood to choose from.

Modin LVP – Signature

Modin LVP Signature is Flooret’s top of the line luxury vinyl planks.

The Signature line stands out for its extra-large planks measuring 9 inches wide and 72 inches long. Planks being so wide is somewhat of a new trend in vinyl floors, taking advantage of the fact vinyl can have wider planks than hardwood floors without the possibility of gaps. As temperatures rise, and with humidity changes, hardwood boards expand and contract. This causes those ugly gaps in your floor. Not so with vinyl. Therefore, you can have these very stylish wide planks with no worries.

Flooret’s Signature line also has enhanced bevels, and industry-leading thick wear-layer. Flooret’s signature collection is also fully waterproof, due to a rigid SPC (stone-polymer composite) core made from 60% limestone.

Silvan Hardwood

Flooret Silvan Resilient Hardwood is their engineered hardwood flooring line. At the time of this review they had 6 styles sized 7″ x 78″. Their signature philosophy being “highest-quality sustainable materials with an emphasis on durability and design” with is UV-cured acrylic protective coating, and high-density core, it resists water issues very well.

As for beauty they are difficult to match. Very natural rich tones, with subtle non-glossy finishes that go with any decor – both modern and traditional. The 7″ width is wider than most and it makes a bold look. With a standard price point of $5.50/sq. ft. this is right at the same rates as warehouse store prices but with high-end quality.

Silvan Hardwood planks have a 0.6mm FSC-approved wear layer. That makes the wear layer much thicker than on engineered wood flooring found in the warehouse stores. But is thinner than what you get on other higher end products.

  • Product Type: Resilient Engineered Hardwood

Durability

Our products exceed industry standards, and are often at the forefront of their class in terms of warranty and durability.

Flooret’s has good ratings for durability. Overall product thickness, wear-layer thickness, and warranty help determine durability without actually installing, and using the product. The type of core will help but many products are constructed of the same raw materials.

Flooret’s Modin vinyl plank have a stone-polymer composite (SPC) core, which is the toughest and most water-resistant core used for vinyl flooring. The overall thickness of 7mm is very respectable but not better than average. However, the wear layer on the Modin Signature line is 40mil is twice as thick as most – beating most of the top brands. This wear layer is very important in protecting your floors from incidental scratches from pets or shoes.

When it comes to warranty, Flooret Modin comes with a Lifetime Residential warranty. Flooret Signature, and Craftsman lines come with a 20-year Commercial warranty whereas Flooret Modin Base has a 10 year commercial warranty. Both are top of the mark in the industry, which shows outstanding confidence in their product.

Flooret’s Silvan Hardwood is not as impressive as Flooret vinyl products when it comes to raw numbers. However, it has very respectable stat’s when compared to warehouse brands. Overall thickness is 11.3mm which beats most warehouse brands of the same price point. Also the wear layer being 0.6mm is much better than average in the industry, showing you can expect good wear. But, it refinishing it should be done with caution. Warranty is Lifetime Residential / 10-year Commercial – residential warranty is not outstanding, but the commercial warranty is excellent.

The entire line of Flooret products are reasonably priced when compared to products of the same quality. As Flooret explains, it’s due to the factory direct purchase with no middle-man.

By the time the consumer got quoted, the product was marked-up 300-600% from the factory cost.

Flooret’s Signature is priced closer to warehouse store products, but the construction is similar to a boutique style high end flooring. Flooret’s Modin LVP Base Collection is an even more affordable vinyl plank option priced at $2.95 per square foot – priced at the lowest end of warehouse stores. It’s one of the cheapest rigid core vinyl floors on the market, and its 20-mil wear layer beats all similarly priced products.

Flooret Silvan Hardwood, currently priced at $5.50 per square foot puts it in the mid-range of most engineered hardwood flooring prices. Overall the quality of construction, and thickness of the wear layer is more comparable to products priced much higher.

There is really no reason to speculate. If you’re skeptical about value Flooret makes it simple to order sample products delivered to your home. Bring home other samples and see how they compare.

Pros & Cons

As with all flooring products there are pros and cons, and some are listed below. There are several intangible pros and cons. One positive is the overall look and style of the flooring which is difficult to quantify, but exceed many competing products at the same price point. One intangible con being that it is a smaller company than others, with less of a track record.

Flooret Pros

  • Thick Wear Layer – Up to a 40mil wear layer which is the thickest we’ve seen.
  • Design Appearance – Very appealing high-end style.
  • Affordable Pricing – Pound-for-pound great value compared to boutique brands
  • Warranty – Length of warranty for each product line better than average and shows confidence in their products.

Flooret Cons

  • New Smaller Company – Smaller emerging boutique brand with less established reputation; could be perceived as pro or con.

  • Few Options – Product line is limited, with all wood-look vinyl, and 6 options for Silvan Hardwood

Worth a Try?

Although you may not trust a smaller brand, not purchased through a reputable brick-and-mortar store, Flooret seems worth. With easy to order samples you can see for yourself and compare it to competing brands side-by-side. With their beautiful and elegant designs it seems worth the time.
